Facebook made it’s prescence in downtown Rochester last month when the Downtown Development Authority designed and implemented their Facebook page and Twitter page.  In fact, they coined a very catchy phrase to describe downtown Rochester:  “A perfect mix of historic and hip.

Within weeks of the page going live the Downtown Rochester Facebook page had over 1,000 fans who had associated their Facebook account with the Downtown Rochester page.  In fact, as of two days ago they now have over 2,000 Facebook fans!

That’s quite an accomplishment and the DDA staff should be commended for embracing social media and making the move to Facebook and Twitter. Keep up the good work and the forward thinking.
