What does “Main Street” mean to you?

What does the term “Main Street” mean to you? I suspect it means different things to different people, but I also think that there is a common definition somewhere inside all of us about what Main Street is.
I think that the Adrian Downtown Development Authority has come up with a good description of what main street is.
Main Street has become a handy phrase to describe everything that is wholesome or ‘right’ with our country.
