This holiday season it’s more important then ever to spend your holiday dollars locally. If you are fortunate enough as we are to be able to walk to our downtown, please consider spending your dollars on your own Main Street. Dollars that are spent locally support your downtown and other businesses in your area.
Leave the big box stores behind this year. Shop Main Street!

On Lagniappe, which was scheduled for 6-9 pm, why in the world would you not turn the lights on at 6 pm? It seems like you missed a great opportunity to attract more people to the downtown area.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting Don. I just got back from downtown, with the lights being turned on exactly at 7:00pm, and to be honest there could not have been any more people down there. The streets were packed, the parking lots packed, and everyone was having a good time. It seems like the 7:00pm lighting works just fine, and gives folks the opportunity to get home from work and get downtown before the official lighting.
